Retinol peels function differently from liquid peels. They are more surface in their action, yet create important changes within the skin. Retinol peels are particularly good for clearing and minimizing pores, as well as being highly effective on photoaged skin and all types of hyperpigmentation.
The 4% and 6% Pure Retinol Peel are ideal for normal skin, photodamaged skin in need of rejuvenation, mature skin with increased laxity, resilient skin types and Fitzpatrick skin types I-IIII.
This treatment is well tolerated with no stinging or burning upon application. Based on its mechanism of action, exfoliation usually begins two to four days after application and lasts approximately one week. All patients will respond differently. This peel can lead to dramatic peeling and patients can take up to fourteen days to be fully healed. In order to reduce the risk of complications; you require some ‘Prep’ treatments prior to having your Peel, or course of Peels. This will be discussed in more depth at your consultation.
If you decide to book your treatment; we will book you in for a time to suit you. On the day; there will be a health questionnaire to fill in; as well as a detailed consent form. These forms will be discussed with you before any treatment is undertaken. You will also have the opportunity to ask more questions on the day. We don’t like to rush you in and rush you out. All appointments are 1:1. No queues, no overlaps. Depending on your skin goals, we develop an individualised treatment plan which will detail any specific recommendations from us to help you achieve your optimal result. This is bespoke to your budget. You will also have the option to purchase a Post-Peel Skincare pack, to optimise your Peel results.
Retinol Peels are recommended as a one off treatment for superior exfoliation of the dead skin cells; or as a course of 3-6 spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. The amount of Peels right for you will be discussed at your consultation.
Prices start at £90. Upon booking; you will be asked to provide a deposit to confirm your appointment. Upon attendance, the deposit fee will be deducted from your final total.
